My sister Zena came with me on the second trip to the station, and here she is looking north towards the homesteads. There is nothing ‘settling’ about the way European colonisation of this land occurred.
Always Was Always Will Be – Aboriginal Land, a phrase originally coined by the late Barkandji Elder, Uncle Jim Bates, is about our sovereignty that has never been ceded. It is also a national call to action used by Aboriginal people across Australia.
