Fossil waterhole II

65cm (H) x 172cm (W)
pigment inkjet print on Hahnemühle paper, hand coloured with PanPastels, Stabilo crayons and pencils

This waterhole is a site where fossils abound, evidence of life forms having resided here for millennia. The trees and the river system are relatives – they are the lifeblood not only for the plants and animals, but also for us humans. Water is not a commodity. It is about the heart and soul of community, and without this connection there is great danger. I f we start to see our environment as more integrated with us as human beings, that is a way forward.
